What I read in March 2022
THE UNHONEYMOONERS BY CHRISTINA LAUREN
Olive’s twin sister Ami has always been the lucky one.
Ami has won the wedding of her dreams but when she and her entire wedding party (except for Olive and Ethan - the groom’s brother) get food poisoning at the reception she insists Olive takes her free honeymoon. Olive and Ethan don’t see eye to eye but a holiday is a holiday so they agree to it.
When Olive runs into her future boss she has to pretend she and Ethan are married and keep up the charade for their holiday. As the days go by Olive starts to feel something for Ethan and she starts to wonder if maybe Ami isn’t the only lucky twin.
This book was so hyped up on social media and I thought I’d enjoy it more. It was a bit predictable, but passed the time.
I FOUND YOU BY LISA JEWELL
Alice finds a man sitting alone in the rain on the beach one day. He doesn’t know who he is, what he is doing there and has lost his memory. Alice invites him to stay and tries to help him remember.
Lily has been married for 3 weeks and one day her husband doesn’t come home. She reports him missing and has a shocking discovery.
Everyone has secrets but what if you cannot remember yours?
This book is amazing. It was on my TBR list for ages and once I got started I couldn’t put it down. Told from various character’s POV and including a 30 year old mystery the book moves effortlessly from present to 1993 when a family came to Alice’s town and had a holiday that changed their lives forever.
Linking up with Steph and Jana for show us your books.
