Easter 2022 weekend
April has been quite a whirlwind month for us. Big decisions, lots of work and exciting plans has made the time fly. By the time the Thursday before the long weekend arrived we were exhausted and pleased we had booked a weekend away to enjoy over Easter.
We drove up on the Friday - left super early - and made our way to De Hoop Nature Reserve.
As always, the food at The Fig Tree Restaurant was delicious. It was a chilly autumn morning and the fireplace in the restaurant warmed the restaurant beautifully.
After enjoying a relaxing drive around, we made our way to Hermanus. Did a quick grocery shop and checked into our favourite place we love to stay in. We had a great afternoon and hubby made us a braai in the evening.
We decided to go back to De Hoop the next day and enjoy another fabulous breakfast and a drive around while we soaked up being outdoors.
After another scrumptious breakfast we did some birding and made our way back to Hermanus for a relaxing afternoon.
We enjoyed relaxing on the patio, snacking on biltong and then had another braai.
Fell into bed exhausted after an amazing day in nature.
The next morning we popped into Woolies to get breakfast and take away coffee and enjoyed it at Sieverspunt.
We then packed up and made our way home.
In a nutshell our Easter 2022 weekend was a very much needed blissful getaway and I cannot wait to visit De Hoop Nature Reserve and Hermanus again soon.
