5 Reasons I'm loving the Choose Happy Planner

For the last couple of years I’ve used a similar sort of planner in the same format and a I felt a change was due. I found the Choose Happy 17 month planner on Takealot - from August 2023 - December 2024 and thought I’d try it out.

As a stationery fan I take planners and journals seriously and I’m thrilled with my choice. Here is why:

1.) The cover is fresh and simple

I was drawn by the cheerful cover and the reminder to Choose Happy. The planner is also a convenient size - my previous one was a bit bulky at best.

2.) goal setting is a breeze

Each month I can set goals and the page has sections for:

  • New goals to focus on

  • What worked last month

  • What could be better

Getting the opportunity to reflect on the previous month - seeing what was a success and what could be improved on is a great addition to a planner. I feel it is a refreshing way to hold myself accountable when goals have been set. Also there is a motivational quote next to this page which is lovely.

3.) the habit tracker is a game changer

I’ve find this to be an effective way to see at a glance which healthy habits are sticking and which are sliding. To confirm which days are easier than others. All info on one convenient page with an overview of the current month.

4.) The weekLY planner section is great

Not only does this make the week ahead easy to plan but there are motivational messages throughout the book. Each week includes a “Don’t Forget” reminder and a section for “This Week’s Happy Moment”

5.) THE STICKERS!

These are just 2 of the sticker page out of the 4 at the back of the planner. So cute and functional.

I enjoy the reminders to count ones blessings and the way the book feels positive while it encouraging healthy habits and (at the same time makes it easier to get organised). It isn’t just a diary to fill with tasks and to-do’s. Instead it feels like a personal prompt to remember to enjoy the journey and to take time highlighting the happy parts along the way.

What about you? Do you enjoy keeping a planner/journal?
