May 2020 recap
I’m linking up with Kristin from http://www.seeyouinaporridge.com/ with a monthly recap.
May was spent in Lockdown and although we could exercise at certain times of the day we continued staying home and only went to the shops for essentials. I had not gone out in about 8 weeks but in May I made 2 trips to the grocery store. Felt so strange being out and about!
We kept our fitness routine going by working out at home and sometimes we did our exercise during lunchtime which was great.
Mark took up macro photography which has been so much fun.
I spoilt myself with some online shopping. I do love Clinique!
Also discovered an amazing bakery called the Velvet Cake Co. They have the most delicious cakes and cupcakes.
Totally worth taking out my Ouma’s table cloth and special cups and saucers she gave me years ago. We enjoyed a high tea at home and I like to think my Ouma would have approved. She always had a sweet tooth.
The weather started getting cold - safe to say winter is now here. We had some amazing rain which as you know is always appreciated in Cape Town because we had a serious drought not long ago.
In Lockdown we’ve been using the time in the week to catch up on chores around the house and then weekends are purely for relaxing.
Making late brunches on Saturdays and Sundays.
Coffee in bed.
Chilling with a book and leftover cake!
We are still working from home for now and I must say it is great but I struggle to switch off my laptop at the end of the day. Just one more e-mail ends up being an hour more online.
So that was my May.
How was yours?
