Humpday confessions

Been ages since I shared a Humpday Confessions on my website!

1.) I’m really feeling the cold and trying not to use winter as an excuse not to exercise…..but…..wow the rain, the chilly temperatures vs the thought of curling up with a book and a cup of tea…decisions decisions!

2.) That since I registered for my vaccine I am checking my phone ALL the time to check if I’ve got notifications regarding when I’ll get my first vaccine! Reminds me of when I first got a cellphone (20 years ago!) and the novelty of having a mobile.

3.) That this week has been a very long one (yes I know it is only Wednesday) but I’m in need of a weekend. My car has been acting up and we heard earlier this week that something else needs replacing (after getting a new clutch put in last month). It feels like it is time to retire what has been our favourite car. She has taken us on so many amazing holidays over the years and I feel so sentimental (and bit sad to be honest).

4.) Finally getting around to reading The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking. I saved it for reading in winter because I feel the cold weather and the cosy theme of the book makes a great combination. Add a cup of hot chocolate and my favourite blanket and I’m loving it. Does anyone else like reading books in certain seasons?

5.) That I’m so excited for hubby’s birthday - you’d think it was me having a special day! Taking a few days leave next week to make a long weekend. Still finalising our plans but just the thought of being offline and away from my laptop feels like a holiday!
