5 Things I’m currently enjoying/pondering/looking forward to:
Appreciating the little things
Last year highlighted simple pleasures for me. Going outside to enjoy a cup of tea at the end of the work day. New plants for the garden. Starting a book that I’d heard good things about. Taking time to enjoy and appreciate (and to be mindful) is something I’m prioritising.
Running
Getting back into an exercise routine of sorts. We’ve been doing outdoor 5km runs a few times a week. I’d like to increase this to 10km soon.
Netflix
We have just gotten Netflix and it is awesome! Finding old series and movies has been fun, not to mention all the new things. Started watching Schitts Creek which I’ve heard alot about. I see Firefly Lane is on there (I loved the first book).
Comfy indoor shoes
A couple of years ago, we decided to go shoe-free indoors. Last year with Lockdown I was wearing slippers all day everyday so I bought some comfy indoor shoes as I still get dressed everyday (even days when my meetings don’t have a camera on).
Friday vibes
We did our grocery shopping at lunchtime so there is sushi and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge! Also have cupcakes for dessert :)
Looking forward to a chilled evening and relaxed weekend . We are going to go for breakfast take out tomorrow and a drive but no other plans and I love it. We may be fully vaccinated but the days of having our weekends disappear by saying yes to invites are very much over.
