October holiday recap
Last month we went on a stunning holiday to Hermanus. I’ve been wanting to post pics for ages but time has just flown and I’ve hardly had time to update my blog. Thought I’d finally share some of the pics of our much needed vacation.
We visited De Hoop Nature Reserve a few of the days and it was spectacular. Seeing the Bontebok, Ostriches and Eland all roaming around. The birdlife is amazing as well.
The restaurant at De Hoop is stunning and their food is always so delicious. Since lockdown we haven’t really eaten out - take out only - but we enjoyed some amazing breakfasts at the restaurant on holiday.
We did a walk one of the mornings after breakfast to Koppie Alleen which has beautiful views. We were so fortunate to have wonderful weather each day.
We also visited Harold Porter Botanical Gardens.
Doing the hike up Leopards Kloof was amazing. So peaceful and beautiful.
Views of the waterfalls were well worth it.
We did lots of day trips from Hermanus and L’Agulhus was another fun trip. This is the Southernmost town in Africa.
Each night we braaied and sat on the balcony in the apartment we stayed in talking about the days experiences.
Being on leave was just what we needed after what has been a long and busy year. Being offline and soaking up time in nature was such a spectacular experience.
