Happy Friday

What a week!

I feel like since early Monday, each day has been fueled with strong coffee and long lists. Add some insomnia (probably from all the coffee) and I am rather tired and extremely ready for a relaxing weekend!

Don’t think I have mentioned it before but my job changed a bit this month. I’m now part of another department but I’m keeping parts of my old job. I’ll still be working for my current boss (which I’m very happy about - we’ve worked together for nearly 15 years). This week has been busy but good and I’m enjoying learning new things.

We are spending time up the West Coast this weekend and I plan to relax. Read. Drink tea. Go for a drive tomorrow. Enjoy a take away in the car. Snuggle on the couch. Read some more. Drink more tea or perhaps open the bottle of red wine my boss gave us as a gift recently.

Sometimes when things are busy and time is flying I like to take a step back and reflect on things I’m grateful for. This week includes:

  • Learning new things and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone.

  • Reading a new book - only a few pages in but hooked! It is called “The Family Next Door” by Sally Hepworth.

  • That first cup of coffee in the mornings. Hubby makes the best coffee and I always enjoy a cup before the busy day begins.

  • Chocolate cupcakes from Woolworths. We’ve been enjoying the ones that have the hidden centre and they are delicious. There are 4 currently in the fridge and I don’t think they will be there much longer.

  • Got up super early this morning to do a quick run around with the vacuum and tidy up and I love starting the weekend with a clean house and empty laundry basket.

  • Grocery shopping for the weekend done and dusted.

  • Rain this week

  • Making time to journal. Also working on a post I’d like to share.

  • Fun Whatsapps with my family. Haven’t seen them in ages but thank goodness for Whatsapp.

  • Weekend is a couple of hours away!
