Five things Friday Vol. 1
I got this idea from San and Stephany who I’ve seen share “Five things Friday” on their websites. I also wanted to write about 5 things that I’m thinking about or that made my week or month.
Hubby and I got our first vaccines last week! We had registered and were waiting patiently for an appointment. When we drove home last week after being vaccinated, we felt such a sense of relief. I know this is not a guarantee that we won’t get Covid but it is a positive step in the right direction. I feel a little more in control after what has been such an uncertain time (since March 2020). Amidst the worry and hand washing I feel something that can be summed up in one word: Hope.
Spring is the in the air. After what has felt like a very long and cold winter I’m loving the sunshine and hint of spring being around the corner. Of course the mornings are still a little chilly (I like to take my coffee outside for a few minutes before a busy day). This week was a little fresh but the afternoons have been lovely.
I bought a Bergamot and Jasmine candle from Woolworths and have been lighting it in the evenings. I don’t wait for special occasions to light my favourite candles. An ordinary Thursday night with a delicious dinner in front the TV is enough reason.
This past weekend I got back into my creative writing and loved it. Hubby made me coffee and I sat at the computer letting ideas flow. I remembered how much I used to love taking part in National Novel Writing Month (or NaNoWriMo). I might actually do it again this year if I can find the time.
I’m due for a cellphone upgrade in a few months and I think it is time to retire my very old Samsung. I don’t want anything too fancy but it will be nice to have a phone that takes good pictures.
Friday afternoon and I just need to finish up some work things before the weekend starts. We are getting a take away breakfast tomorrow and have no other plans. Quiet weekends are my favourite.
