Currently - November 2022

November has been one of those months that just flew by in a whirlwind. I cannot believe that tomorrow will be the 1st December and the final chapter of 2022.

Since we have one more day of November I thought I’d do a quick check in and share what I’m currently:

decorating

Our house! We took out the decorations over the weekend and it was such a fun way to spend Saturday afternoon. I love this time of year and making the house feel festive always makes me so happy.

relaxing

In Clanwilliam a few weekends ago. It was such a stunning weekend and I’ll do a post on it soon. I loved the place we stayed at, we tried a new restaurant and re-visited one from our last trip. Went for a long drive. Read outside. Chilled and returned feeling refreshed and ready for the last few weeks of the year.

grateful

For hubby, my family and friends. That my performance appraisal went well at the beginning of the month. Finding a new favourite coffee at Woolworths. Receiving a gift voucher yesterday that I look forward to using. The fact summer is here and I’m loving the warm weather. Breakfast out on Saturday. Netflix. Finding a book and re-reading it (plus enjoying it all over again). Fresh crisp bedding. Downloading holiday photos. The list is long and my heart is full.

BUYING

New Christmas mugs. Couldn’t resist these and they included gingerbread biscuits!

excited

For another chilled festive season. I wrote a post about 2 years ago on this topic What I'm looking forward to

It was a confessional post filled with all the things I was relieved to skip during the festive season that year. The endless rushing around frantically ticking things off a to—do list. End of year stress with people that try to drag you into get togethers and make you feel guilty if you don’t comply. The secret Santa drama (from said forced pre-Christmas gathering). The waste of time and money while watching weekends disappear because it is essential you make time for every person you’ve spoken to since 2005.

We skipped this in 2020, 2021 and plan to again this year.

I’m excited to have a calm and relaxing festive season.

What about you? What are you currently doing?

xx
